I am rebuilding this washer and have a problem with the new wash basket and the filter plate/plugs. My washer originally had the large round filter plate under the basket. Apparently there was a modification a few years back where the filter plate changed to 4 small round filter plugs that should go into 4 holes in the bottom of the basket (which I see in the repair manual). I received these 4 plugs but the new basket does not have the holes to receive them. The bottom of the new basket has 4 smaller semi-circle punch outs that extend downward which appears to be the version that uses the now defunked filter plate.

What is the secret to get compatible parts or to use what I have?

Thanks,

George

New machines with the large basket use the old style basket with the small semi-circle cutouts and no filter plate or plugs. That is what I will retrofit my old machine with.
