Washer stops after filling with water
Model Number: LAT8004AAE Brand: Maytag Age: More than 10 years
Washer stops in the after filling with water. Won't agitate or spin. However, if I turn the rotatry control knob to just the right place I can get the spin cycle strated and empty the water. Should I be looking to rplace the timer, lid switch, check switch or something else?

The first thing I would check is the lid switches.
