Model Number: WPSE3120Y1WW Brand: GE Age: 1 - 5 years
I start my washer and allow it to fill with water. If I close the lid before the fill cycle ends, it will stop. I have to let the fill cycle complete before closing the lid. Once the fill cycle is complete, I close the lid, and it will continue on the the next cycle. Any ideas???

I am going to suggest you replace the lid switch, even though your symptoms do not suggest that as the problem, because the lid switch and its wiring are the only things that change when you open and close the lid, and it is not an expensive part.
