Default Washer is not draining
Model Number: LSR5132PQ0   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: 5 - 10 years

I can't seem to locate my model number for this washer on any of the lists. My washer is not draining, although it spins and runs through the cycles completely, however there is a clicking sound on the dial when it reaches the draining/spinning part of the cycle. When I first noticed it there was a burning smell. I have checked and the hoses are not clogged. Help! My laundry is piling up!

Hi,

This is a direct drive washer and if the tub is spinning then the pump is turning too.

I would take a second look for restrictions on the drain hose.

Take a look were the drain hose slips on the back of the washer.
There is a elbow there. Remove the drain hose and looking inside that elbow.

Hi...Took drain hose off and the water gushed out of the elbow on the back of the washer. Snaked the drain pipe 25 feet out of the house and poured water down and it drained fine and the hose from the washer to the pipe as well. But the washer still spins and does not empty!!! Ready to throw in the towel (literally!). Any other suggestions? Short on $ and really can't afford the repair guy...but...
