This washer is just over one year old, when agitating it is very slow as if on the delicate cycle, but it's not. Also makes a clunking noise while washing. Clothes do not seem to be getting clean. I am trying to figure out if this is a possible bad transimisson or something else? Any tips/ advice is appreciated.

Remove the control panel and look at the service sheet. You have a digital controled motor. Check the diagnostic code on the service sheet and compare to the green blinking LED on top of the motor. Let us know what the problem is per the data sheet.

You have to look under the cover in the front.

Ok, we the led is flashing four times, control mode shift problem? Still have no clue what to do about that. Also, the drive pulley is really loose and I don't think that is normal.

That is a mode shift coil under the spin basket, need special tools to get at and labor intensive. Few servicers, including me, know, or care to know how to fix it!! Re-post as a mode shift coil problem and see who can fix it, but definitely not a do it yourself kind of thing to do.
