"Repaired" Centennial not agitating? Flashing red light.

My top loading Maytag wasn't agitating, sounded like a jet engine and had sprayed brown liquid (not oily, though) from the gearcase. Fault codes were F7E5 and F7E1. Was going to replace splutch but there is no signs of wear or play. I replaced the gearcase and actuator. I also have a replacement harns-wire if necessary. (The replacement gearcase came with a plastic drive hub and a plastic clip to lock in the inner tub to the drive shaft. The original had the metal drive hub, drive block and spanner nut, but AppliancePartsPros confirmed the replacement gearcase was the appropriate replacement for my model.) Once reassembled, I recalibrated, which I assume went fine. Tried a light load but machine has up to a minute delay between cycles and cycle indicator lights don't seem to align with what the washer is doing. Ultimately, unit stopped without spinning and red lid lock light flashed. Did two text cycles: first one stopped after wash/rinse lights were on and red light continued flashing and could not be cancelled (I had to wait several minutes for the machine to cancel). Second one ran through everything ok. Both times there was a loud buzzing sound when the washer light was activated. Initially is was short, repeated buzzes, then an extended buzz for a few seconds. Checked faults: F2E1 and F7E1. The tub spins fine (if a bit of wobble). I'm wondering if the agitator is not spinning. Is the replaces gearcase (W11132267) in fact the proper one?
