Washer Repair

I ordered a new timer for the machine. The replacement timer was said to be ready for installation. When I replaced the timer, upon turning the control it immediately activates the circuit breaker. The replacement timer has a different wiring setup then the original. Any suggestions?

There are a lot of versions of your machine, and this site lists three different timers for your model, so it seems like you received the wrong timer. I would take it back or send it back to the supplier, and ask them to check the part number against your model and serial number.

Here is a service manual which has info in the back on wiring and timers.

Thanks for the tip and the manual. The timer was the wrong one. I ordered an new one that was for my model LAT 8435AAE. Put it in today and everything is working just like it is supposed to.
