Out of balance & noise when spinning
Top lid off to watch, when the washer starts the spin cycle, it starts to get out of balance and then makes a slight growl/rubbing noise and then stops and resets to try again. It will continue to fail and restart. I took it completely apart and saw no damage to the spider. The bearings seemed to spin easy, but one did have a little resistance. No real play in either of the bearings. I was hoping to find an obvious problem, but didn't. What could be causing the balance issue? With no load, it runs fine but does have a wobble just not big. Spinning it by hand, it seems to not spin true appearing to have an inherent balance problem. Shocks had no obvious damage either, but I'm not sure how much damping force they are designed to have. I put it back together and light load made it through but even a medium load gave the same problem. I'm stumped ... spider, bearings, shocks .. new washer?
