I need a GE washer mode shifter. It is one of two parts. either wh38X10017 or WH38X10019. I have no Model# as the tag was removed before I purchased. The difference between the two is 2" in length. 19 being the shortest.

Where is the measurement taken from? After removing mine I can measure and order the correct one. I just guessing that it is the 17 do to age. Over 7 years.

Bought the 17. Fit like a glove. DO NOT try to make this repair without the $14.00 spanner wrench. Repeat DO NOT try to do this repair without the $!$.00 spanner wrench.
