Hi All,
Last night went to check washer and selector dial knob was pointed to Rinse but nothing was happening other than a humming noise. I manually advanced knob to spin and that worked fine. It then occurred to me that the clothes probably had had not rinsed and and thought I'd better try a full wash cycle again. It's doing nothing but spin and only when I turn the dial manually to that position. This is true for all the wash modes around the dial - only spin will work.

I know it filled and ran thru the cycle that initial time until it got stuck at rinse and I noticed.

I removed the supply hoses and made sure the input screens were clean and I had good water pressure.

Anything I can check first to diagnose before I start throwing money at parts? I have a voltmeter and tools and I'm pretty handy if I know what to look for.

Thanks for the help in advance!

It sounds like you're not getting any water. Have you tried warm or hot settings?

The rinse is almost always cold water, you could have a bad cold valve,

Is the humming noise coming from the water valves?

Hi, thanks for responding. I tried all temperatures. It will not fill at all on any temp setting. I will see if I can isolate the humming this weekend and report back.

I pulled the back of the machine off and the humming noise is coming from the valve.

What kind of voltage should be at the terminals? If I fill the machine manually and it runs, is it the valve for sure? I may try that tonight.
