When our GE washer is set on warm or hot, sometimes the hot water valve chatters, slamming open and close much harder and more often than it used to causing water hammer in the pipes. Is this the sign that the valve is on it's way out? Or is this something that either works or it doesn't and the problem is elsewhere?
