2nd time in 18 months I've had to replace the bearings on my LG washer. It is NOT possible to get the bearings out of the tub assembly without damaging the tub. The 1st time I thought maybe because the bearings were 10 years old. I hammered and pounded and they did not budge. I had to return the bearings and purchase the entire tub with bearings built in. The new bearings only lasted 18 months and are "grinding" and quite noisy. Again I purchased new bearings and was unable to get the old bearings out without damaging the tub. Again I am returning the bearings and purchasing the tub assembly with bearings built in.
How does anyone else get the bearings out? I don't think it's possible....
