My wife took the soap dispenser out of our Maytag Neptune front loader to clean it and evidently didn't put it together correctly now it is stuck and can't get it open only about an inch. There is something restricting it on the right side.

There probably is a tab or clip holding it and you may just have to force it out and hope that it does not break, or that if it does break it is just a tab that does not interfere with its use other than it may now pull all the way out when you fill it. If so, just be careful and make sure there are no leaks.

I ended up taking the top off, removing the detergent box and removing the top of that to push the fabric softener/bleach siphon down to slide the drawer out. I just took an extra blood pressure pill and tore into it!!! She won't make that mistake again!!!!

Well good, glad you got it fixed. I am usually in the reverse situation and have to tell my wife 'honey, if you just let it go this time I promise I won't do it more than one more time'.
