Agitator barely moving during wash but drains & spins fine. Will replacing washer under fabric softener cap fix it? Please help. Thanks!!!

Difficult to diagnose because there are several possible problems. Make sure the agitator is not broken in some way and is not spinning lose, and if it is okay given the cost of repair and the cost of parts I suggest replacing it with a basic, no frills, no electronics top loader.
