Washer is 17 years old. Dogs were replaced last year. Machine will not spin or agitate but drains normally. There is a loud sort of grinding noise. How do I determine if it's the transmission or clutch? Any tips on how to troubleshoot are appreciated. I ran it with cover off and the sound is difficult to pinpoint with my head near the motor.
