Where is the lid check switch located (part 207166) on a Maytag Stackable - model LSE7804ACE? Is it located up next to the timer panel or must the lide be removed

More often than not if you can hear the lid switch clicking it is still functional. As far as location it will be located in the back of the washing machinr housing. Actually reaching it is the problem. You will have to remove the front panel and look up under the top edges of the actual washer top and you will see 2, 3/8 bolts holding the top on to the frame. Remove the bolts and the lid should be able to pull up from the front and out towards your person. The lid switch is probably attached to the washer top its self . Undo the screws and replace the switch that is in the switch housing.
