So my Maytag washer is luckily sitting in one of those water catch tubs and I noticed it had about 3/4" of water in it - quite a bit, probably about 2 gallons. It hadn't been used in 5 or 6 days so it could have been even more water when it leaked.

Testing the washer I can't get it to leak water so far. I'm wondering if it is sometimes washing over the sides of the tub, maybe depending on the amount of clothing or balance issues. I'm also wondering if the water level is perhaps going a bit too high. When I fill the tub on "super" the water goes well above the level of the holes and all the way to the bottom of the rim of the inner tub.

Any ideas where to look for problems?
