my whirlpool washer leaves clothes wet after the final spin cycle sometimes !!! It just happened and when we reset the timer for the final spin, the machine worked fine. It does spin the clothes, you can hear it spinning and when i lift the lid the basket is moving. I just removed the motor to check the coupling and it is fine. Don't think the timer is a problem because all cycles work. Any suggestions. Like i said in the post, this happens randomly, not every wash. Sometimes it goes several washes before it happens.

Usually the problem here is a worn clutch lining, this part here.

This is an easy albeit somewhat time consuming repair that you can do yourself, and it helps to have a helper.
