Good Morning!

I have a 16 year old Maytag washer that is having issues with the final spin cycle on heavier loads.

When it hits the final spin cycle on large loads it just drains the water from the tub but does not spin. It does not have this problem with small loads.

When this happens I open the lid, take the tub and spin it clockwise until it is tight again then I re-run the spin cycle and it works fine.

We are not very handy. I am wondering if it sounds like something major or something that can be fixed relatively inexpensively.
