The "LID" light message came on and the washer did not start.
I replaced the lid magnet/magnet assembly and also replaced the control board. The "lid" error still comes on and does not start. What next?

What you did should have fixed it. Try using a meter to check continuity in the wiring, that could be your problem although it is not likely. Also, use a separate magnet to see if you can make the light go away.

open the lid and put a magnet on the magnet on the washer top?

I tried the magnets. It still shows the "lid" error.
I'll get a meter to check the wiring.
Is there a way to reset it?

I checked the wiring with a meter and everything is ok.
I had a friend check the wiring throughout and everything checked out.
Running out of ideas.

Yeah, me too. You could be looking at a mode shifter problem, but not sure why that would give you that error code.

It may be time for a new washer, sorry to say. These GE's with this technology are just a nightmare sometimes.
