Model Number: WCXR1070TAWN Brand: GE Age: 5 - 10 years
Hi,
My GE Washer model #WCXR1070TAWN has a loud roar during the spin cycle and leaks at the bottom of the drum. Reading previous posts, I gather this washer needs a hub bearing and seal. My questions are: How do I remove the agitator cone assembly to get to the hub nut on the drum? What are all the parts recommended for replacement while replacing the hub bearing and seal? Any uncommon tools are required to do all this? Do I need to press or pull anything with tools? Thank you! -Partmiser Ads By Google Related Models |

On this washer you will have to replace the transmission to repair the noise and the tub seal to repair the leak. The seal comes with the transmission. The agitator just pulls up and off. You will need a spanner wrench and a big hammer to remove the hub nut. This page will help GE Washer Disassembly Guide
