I recently replaced my control board due to no spin and no door lock problems. I also replaced the wax motor even though I had a black tipped one in the machine. NOW the machine refuses to unlock the door, even after unplugging it. I have been using the filament emergency cord to get it to release. Not fun, but Im worried about the cord snapping off and then what?? Can anyone tell me if it is the ribbon spring that I may have pinched too tight when replacing it, or is it the door lock mechanism? This washer has about 15 yrs on it, so I really need to baby it along a little while longer.
