Hi,

Washer was doing a lot of noise so i changed:

-The trust bearing kit
-The rotor brake
-The snubber

after changing all those, the agitator seem to lock itself and i hear a sound like the motor is forcing, everything was working but noisy before repairs.

The spinning cycle is working fine and the noise is gone.

Is this a matter of break adjustement?

Model MAV3905AWW Maytag

Thanks for your help

This model is a single belt top load washer.

when turning the wheel of the trust bearing, should the lower shaft move freely?

How can i verify if the agitator problem is not coming from the transmission?

Yes, when turning the pulley clockwise, the transmission housing should remain locked while the lower shaft should rotate causing the gearing inside the transmission to rotate the agitator back and forth. Turning the pulley CCW should release the brake and cause the entire transmission to rotate for spin.
