Hello all,

I have a Maytag washer MHWE201YW00 that went out shortly after our house was hit by lightning. I was getting an error F6 E1 code (error in connection between motor control unit and control board).

I have replaced the control board on the side (part # AP5618612) and am still having the same problem.

When the start button is pressed the door locks and there is a short buzz and then nothing. No water or other noises. I have to unplug the unit to try it again.

Has anyone had this problem or know how can I check voltage to find out where my problem is? Should I try the front control board and motor to fix this?

Thanks in Advance

Josh

Checked electrical with a meter and never could find anything wrong. I just bought a new one (LG this time) the next time Lowe's had washers on sale. I probably spent more money buying parts and wasting time trying to figure out what was wrong then I did on the new one.
