Maytag washer LSE7806ACE won't run. When switch is turned on nothing happens. Circuit breaker is on, washer has power, voltmeter shows power to timer and thermostat and lid switch. But the washer won't start filling, and makes no noises as though dead. Opened up front cabinet and found the 1 amp fuse blown out. Question is, why did the fuse blow? Someone said the check switch may cause it. How to test the check switch? What else can cause the fuse to blow and how to test? Already tested the temperature control, water level control, water valve, lid switch, Timer, timer motor. All seem to be ok.

I do not have a wiring diagram for your model but a fuse will blow from excess current.
Sometimes it is just a one time event, so if the replacement holds you should be ok. If not, you need to check for a grounded wire or some type of short.
