The hose is for the water level switch.
One end attaches to the outer tub or just goes into the outer tub. The other end attaches to the water level switch in the control console. Check that the hose does not have cracks or pinholes. If it does replace it. Also make sure it pushes snugly onto the level switch, if not cut off half an inch and try it. If this hose has an air leak the unit will overfill.

Thank you! I found it. I wasn't looking on the control panel at first, but found where the hose connects to. My next hold up is difficulty putting the washer housing (cover) back on. I see 2 slots in the bottom sides for the top sides to fit into but after 30 mins. I gave up until later. Any tips?
