Hi fOLKS, i AM stuck on this problem. Wife threw blanket n washer and that was all she wrote. I removed it and reset motor by unplugging for a few minutes and then plugged it in and open and close lid 6 times, still no motor noise.

I thought control board, so i replaced that today and same thing. so here is what i have done.
reset motor (mentioned above)
tested water fill by changing fill settings, ads water
tested lid switch by using a strong magnet
opened front access and can freely move tub by pulling and pushing on belt
disconnected all connectors and put back on

Is their anything i missed??
motor, capacitor or another eset somewhere???

Thanx in advance for your help
Jim

See if the motor operates by taking off the belt. And check to see if the transmission pulley turns. If it does not the transmission may be damaged.

This model does have a transmission. The reset procedure is not for this type of washer, it is for the hydrowave models. This is an older "T" model. Did you transfer the model select plug from the old board to the new one? You need to check the lid switch with a meter. Does the motor make any sound at all (humming) when washer is set to spin?

Yes I transfered the wires to new control board. I have not checked the lid switch with an ohm meter, but used a magnet to complete circuit. Motor does not hum or make any noise.

I'm talking about the model select plug. It is a plug with one or two jumper wires on it. It must be transferred to the new board. It is not part of the washer wiring harness. You will have to check the lid switch with a meter to determine if it's working or not.

Hi Eric. Lid switch tested fine. Changed the jumper from old to new. Any other ides?? I faile to mention that it fills fine to correct level but, When I select the wash cycle to "Lite" the 6 min light comes on and thats it. It does not go off, just stays at the point. Will not drain either.... Makes no noise. Could it be something in the fill circut?? Maybe the control board is not getting "I am filled at the correct level" so it does not advance to agitate. I am saying this because it does not drain.
