Washer will not spin. It drains out, washes and rinses fine. I changed the lid switch today. It sounds like the motor is running during the spin cycle. Any helpful advice? I don't know the age of the unit.

That one is about 20 years old. Check the motor coupler first. It can be damaged to the point that it won't drive the transmission in spin direction but can in agitate direction. A telltale sign is black rubber dust under where the coupler is located. Pull the motor and check the coupler.
