Noises are extremely difficult for us to diagnose from afar because we really need to be there to hear and try and determine where it is coming from.

I suggest you take off the cabinet, jumper the lid switch and operate the machine. You may be able to determine the source of the problem. Also, take off the pump and check it out and check out the coupling. Less likely is a problem with the brakes but if all else fails check them out also.
