here is the problem the tub will not spin and the washer displays a 6 flash error code any ideas whats causing this problem

I am not getting your model number to come up, but assuming this machine has a mode shifter and the error code is the flashing light on the motor here is a way to interpret the codes.

Try resetting things first. Sometimes that is all that is needed.
