I purchased a replacement tub spring from you and now have it hand to do the repair (thank you for shipping it fast!). My question relates to the "spring guide" that goes with this tub spring - it seems to be unavailable. I not sure if we should try to use something else to replace the spring guide or just use nothing when we replace the spring? I'm assuming that the purpose of the spring guide is to lessen the stress on the spring but not sure if having nothing there is a huge deal. Please help.
