Hi my washer wont spin, it agitates good. If i spin the drum clockwise it feels like its binding up, but whenever i spin it counterclockwise it feels like it loosens up and begains to spin when the lid is closed. Then it starts to slow down and cannot spin on its own again. I have the motor and transmission pulled from the unit the motor coupling looks good no broken or cracked parts and the cluch seems ok. Should I be able to spin the shaft on the transmission or is it supposed to be hard to turn. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated thanks.

I would go ahead and replace clutch, you really cannot tell from a visual inspection. And also check to make sure the brakes are releasing properly.
