My Whirlpool cabrio just started leaking water into the tub when not in use. Does anyone have suggestions, pretty sure it is the valve but I really don't know what to order, I called whirlpool and they said it was a log valve for 100, sure I can get it cheaper from a parts place

You have reached a parts place (but those of us who reply on this site are volunteers.

The problem is almost certainly the valve assembly and here is your part.

Part number: AP3951460
Part number: AP3951460

And no it is not $100 and shipping on this site is very low and you can return it if it does not fix the problem.

What's not to like?
