I have a LG Tromm front load washer ( wm2688hnm). I got a "LE" error yesterday during a very off-balance spin cycle. I unplugged the machine for 30 minutes, shifted the load and then reapplied power. The error was gone. However, the tub would not turn. It attempted, but did not turn. I manually drained the water and spun the tub by hand. It did not wobble and was quite. There is no play in the drum/tub at all. I then put the washer in technician diagnostics mode. It started spinning ok but then had a rubbing/grinding noise coming from the stator and rotor area. I took the rotor off and inspected both rotor and stator. The stator metered at 7.9 ohms. All appeared ok, even the bearing. I reassembled and still having the same noise. It also will not go into high speed spin in diagnostics. I am currently at a loss for what to check next.
