Kenmore Washer Oasis ST Top loading lid has now feels heavy to open and wont stay up. Is it enough to replace the two lid hinges (one on each side)? Does it need more work than that? Is there a spring or a counterweight that helps in opening the lid?

Please check your model number, we need it to see what machine you have. there should be 8 digits after the 110 and you have only posted 7.
