When moving water level switch was broke replaced switch now won't spin it was in heated storage for 8 months can hear the pump run

Replacing the water level switch should have had no impact on the spin. Since it is agitating and draining this suggests the motor and coupling are okay and that the problem is likely with the clutch. Replace the clutch lining and see if that doesn't fix your problem.

Is the clutch electrical does something tell it to engage ?

No, it is engaged when a spring is released that allows a lining to connect with the housing.
