So my Maytag Bravo washer started acting up about a week ago. When using a hot load, it stops filling at right around the halfway point and just hums and slowly spins. After a few minutes of this it finally stops and displays LF (low flow).

I went through the automatic diagnostics - went through everything fine. No error codes. So I went through the manual diagnostics and checked all the valve fills - no problems. I tried other settings e.g. warm or cold wash and it fills fine that way. After perusing lots of forums, I decided the control panel must be being glitchy and ordered a new one. Tried replacing it this morning - same problem.

If I fill the tub with water via bucket, it will start agitating and go through the rest of the cycle fine.

I feel stumped. Is there some other sensor I don't know about? It doesn't seem like it would be a blockage since it fills up half way w/out any problem. And it doesn't seem like it would be the valve mechanism or solenoids b/c they went through the diagnostics ok...

Please help!
Thx

This is one of the most difficult machines to diagnose because it is one of the most un-necessarily complicated designs ever invented.

I think the valve assembly is likely the problem. If you buy from this site and that is not the fix then you can return it.

Good luck!

Thanks sidfink43! I ordered the part and replaced it and it is working! Even better than it had the entire time I've had it - hasn't been going off balance every dang time I run a load. Don't know if that's just lucky or what, but I appreciate it. :)
