Rinse and spin not happening. Also, I found a spring underneath the washer. Saw other springs still connected near bottom. This one not as big. Thanx.

Rank: Advanced Member Groups: Senior Expert Joined: 3/29/2009(UTC) Posts: 11,699		I am not sure I understand what is happening, when you say rinse and spin do you mean just the spin after the agitation cycle and after the rinse cycle? I suggest you operate it with the cabinet off by by-passing the lid switch and see if you can determine the cause of the problem by watching it. Also sounds like some of the support springs are off or broken.

Washer agitates and drains but no rinse or spinning at all. I have it in about 20 pieces right now. Coupler and clutch look good. backyardhockey attached the following image(s):

It does not belong to your washer and don't know how it got under the machine. We really need more information, and you need to operate it with the cabinet off to see if you can tell what is wrong. Beginning to sound like the transmission, which you can tell if you observe and notice the clutch is not turning when it is in spin cycle.

The clutch (what the red arrow is pointing to, correct?) was not moving during the rinse, agitate, or spin cycles.

Rank: Advanced Member Groups: Senior Expert Joined: 3/29/2009(UTC) Posts: 11,699		Okay this does sound like a transmission issue, but first you should remove and inspect the clutch and clutch lining and related parts to see if there is a problem there. Look closely at the brakes and the brake cam.
