I have replaced the main board but I have the same problem. The pause/start button continues to blink and will not run. When I enter it into Service Mode, it passes the service mode test showing 'PA' at the end of the cycle... is the new board defective? Or is there some other issue? Thanks!

The PA means that the control unit went through a diagnostic process and did not find or generate any error codes.
Your problem is symptomatic of problems with the models with electronic controls, they are very difficult to diagnose. If you have a service manual (your model is covered at the back of the MAH 3000 manual, they just don't tell you that) try testing the motor control board, and if that checks out move to other components.
Good luck.
