Hangs up and indicates "SUD: on the display. Is it the control or something else?

See if you can find the tech notes which are under the top cover or inside the lower service panel. They will show you how to do some testing and diagnostic work.

This is probably not the main control board but it could be the water level pressure sensor. Try changing it out.
