After the final rinse and drain, spin start fails: Rapid fire start/stop clicking/clunking about 2 or 3 times per second, the heavy current draw from the motor starting makes the house lights flicker in unison to the sound. That's a clue the motor is likely being powered on and off, rather than a mechanical transmission type problem...? I can make it act and sound exactly the same in spin cycle by rapidly raising and lowering the lid before the drum has built up any spin speed.
So far this has happened twice maybe in the last 2 months. Opening and closing lid does not solve. There is no balance issue as the drum is barely moving yet. Moving the timer around then back to the same final spin cycle gets the spin to start properly.
So far, not enough repeats of the problem to definitely say moving the timer was the true fix and/or the timer is the cause. I have not yet seen it do this in any other spin cycle, just the final spin.
Is there some inexpensive relay I could try replacing now, that is a common cause of this symptom?
Thanks
