My whirlpool ultimate care gold II washer will fill with water and then nothing. No agitate, no spin, no drain. I have tried all settings and nothing will happen. Where do I start to fix? Thanks

First, check for loose screws on the left side lid hinge. This hinge operates the hidden lid switch. If lid switch is not working, motor will not work at all. If screws are tight, open control panel and bypass the lid switch as shown in this video. If that isn't the problem, you need to remove the cabinet and check for faulty connection where the gray wire connects to the motor thermal overload switch. This is the neutral to the motor and this is a common failure point on these three speed motors.
