My Kenmore Elite washer, model #110.23032101, is 12 years old. I bought it because it was guaranteed not to vibrate or move while spinning. It started vibrating very loudly and "walking" about a month ago. It is not a leveling problem. The whole tub shifts up to 1-1/2" in any direction if I push on it. I quit using it a few weeks ago out of fear something would break inside. Can you help me? I don't want to call a tech to be told it is too costly to fix and just buy a new one. Thank you.

You need to take off the cabinet and inspect the springs, pads and support structure. When I find something like this it is usually the support structure has a break in it in which case a machine this old is probably not worth repairing.

If you find the springs broken though that is an easy and inexpensive repair.

Check the video library on this site for how to take a Whirlpool cabinet off.

Good luck, hope this helps.
