the title says it all, the agitator starts its movement before the tub fills with water and the agitator emits a banging noise.....HELP

Doesn't matter whether you use it or not, the control board inside of it is always used to control washer filling. The pressure sensor that determines when agitation starts is part of the control board. The control is a high failure item in these load sensing washers.
