recently my washing machine stopped midway through the spin cycle. When I tested it, the agitator works fine and pump is fine. As soon as it gets to spin cycle - no movement on drum and machine makes a loud noise. I have checked the coupling and it is fine and I have installed a new clutch. Not sure what else the problem could be? The upper part of the agitator does not seem to be turning and looks like the agitator cogs need replacing. Will this impact the spin cycle?

By pass the lid switch and operate it with the cabinet off. See if the clutch is turning. If it is not, and I suspect it is not then the problem is likely in the transmission.

It could also be that the brakes are not releasing, go back and check and make sure the clutch is installed correctly with respect to the brake cam.
