Our Whirlpool top load washer leaves white lint on all of our clothers after washing. This happens even if nothing white has been washed. It seems to be coming from the inside the washer but I don't know where to look.

Well, this is highly unusual and I am not sure exactly what it could be.

I suggest you remove the cabinet and clean out the pump and drain hoses that come from the tub through the pump and out to the external drain. This video will show you how to get into the machine. Also, you may find the problem is something inbetween the basket and the tub, and you will be able to inspect that once you take the cabinet off.
