I noticed water pooling under our old washing machine (it's a stacked model with gas dryer on top).
Pulled it out and the cables seem intact. Opened the front door - no leaks from the pump or any other cable I can see in the front. Run two experiments:
1. Run the fill cycle only - eventually water pooled at the bottom of the washer and then leaked out through cutouts.
2. Filled the drum with water (without starting the machine) and let it sit for a while - everything was dry. Then run spin cycle till water was not visible in the drum anymore - still dry.

This makes me suspect the cable and the inlet funnel that sit under the hood. Two questions:
1. Is my conclusion correct or I missed something?
2. If this is indeed the funnel and the cable, is there an easy way to replace these without taking the drum out?

Thanks.
