Boy I hate it when that happens.

You need to tell us in more detail exactly what happens, does the machine just stop when it gets to a certain point in the cycle, and does this happen on all cycles?

Also, have you checked the lid switch? You can by-pass it to test it out and see if that is the problem.

Finally, what led you to replace the timer.

Thanks

Default washer does not rinse

will only go to a certain spot in the cycle than stop. Will complete the wash cycle only and stop, no rinsing. ( on all cycles )

Default washer will not rinse

Washer will fill with water, wash clothes and spin but will not rinse ( next step in the wash cycle). The timer is new, bought from your company, is it possible that the purchased timer is bad. There were two recommended timers for this brand of washer, Amana model lwa50aw, but no one could tell me what the difference was between the two. The one I purchased had the same h/p and cycles as the old one I removed.

I spoke with Eric in customer service and he said that he would send me out a new timer right away but I still would like to know the diffefence between the two advertised.

Cold water supply is ok. Old timer was replaced because when the button was pushed in there was no clicking sound when the knob was rotated

Hi Bak

A couple of things. Those of us who respond on this are not associated with APP (unless so stated). We are volunteers who try to answer the questions and solve the problems as best we can. I think APP gives great customer service, their prices are good and the delivery is as fast as anyone at a great cost and that is why I like to participate in this Forum.

As far as the two different timers for your model is concerned, they are both the same, a less expensive version is sold under the Speed Queen brand. There have been some reports that the Speed Queen product is not as good as the others.

Since your machine does go through a complete cycle of agitate, drain and spin it does sound like your replacement timer was also defective so I hope the new one will solve your problem.
