Maytag washer screeching sound
Model Number: sav205daww Brand: Maytag Age: 5 - 10 years
Washer makes two different very loud screeching noises. One is more metallic and the other is more like a belt screeching. Any ideas? I really don't think it's simply a belt issue.

Sounds like a problem in the transmission, or possibly a bearing issue but you are going to have to dive into it really tell. Here is the service manual.
