Model Number: FLSE72GCSA Brand: Frigidaire Age: 5 - 10 years
My washer stop in the midle of the cycle when is draining the water. It stop and it has an smell like something is burning. I opened and changed the pump because I thought that it was the cause of the failure. Today we were using it and it stoped again with the same smell. I touched the motor and it was stremately hot (I think that it is not its normal temperature). I waited around 20 - 30 min and I re-started again and then it stoped again.
What could be the root cause of this problem? Ads By Google Related Models |

It sounds very much like your motor is in the process of failing. It gets hot, and then your thermal protection on the motor kicks in and shuts it down. When it cools it is good to go again.
If there is nothing blocking the motor from operating (obstruction in the pump, which should not be the case since you have replaced it), bad transmission (which should not be the case since it operates) then your motor will probably need to be replaced.

Thanks for your help.
Now, how can I replace the motor of my washer? Where can I find instructions on how to access the motor? I think that I will need to remove the lateral panel but I'm not sure or how to do it. Thanks again |
